Maintenance

The maintenance benefits of FieldTurf are numerous. The installation of FieldTurf eliminates the use of harmful pesticides, fertilizers, herbicides and fungicides, while at the same time removes thousands of tires from landfill sites. FieldTurf requires no mowing, fertilizing, reseeding or watering.

FieldTurf can also help organizations earn the necessary points needed for U.S. Green Building Council LEED certification. FieldTurf's reused rubber content and water use reduction, among other factors, can contribute numerous points towards LEED certification.

FieldTurf delivers the perfect lawn - without the need for watering or sprinkler systems, mowing, thatching, weeding, seeding, equipment storage, fertilizers, pesticides, chemical treatments and allergies.

It is easy to remove debris from FieldTurf lawns. In addition to its many obvious benefits, there are not many maintenance tasks to be completed with a FieldTurf lawn.

It’s more a matter of keeping clean than maintaining.

- Remove organic materials from the surface, typically by using a leaf blower.

- The leaf blower is the ideal tool for general upkeep.

- A stiff, natural bristle broom can be used to "fluff" high traffic areas.

Liquids drain right through, droppings can be picked up as they would be with regular grass and/or washed off with a hose, and dogs can’t dig through it.

Dogs will not eat the turf and they will not dig out the fibers. Animals are not interested in the turf, and this has not been a problem with our pet owners, and commercial boarding facilities. Dogs can’t dig through it.

The running and high usage will definitely not create an uneven surface. FieldTurf was originally engineered for sports venues with a heavy amount of usage - if high school, college, and professional teams can trample all over it everyday not having to worry about deformations, your facility and your pets will have a safe and consistent surface to play on for many years to come.
